In May 2022, a week before the Champions League final that Real Madrid won in Paris against Liverpool, Kylian Mbappé and PSG announced the signing of a new contract. After several months flirting with the Madridistas, the Parisian striker surprised by rejecting the proposal of the merengue entity to renew with the French club. However, in July of that same year, the French star began to regret, after the unfulfilled promises made by Al-Khelaifi and his board of directors.

MBAPPÉ ACCEPTED AN OFFER FROM LIVERPOOL

That summer, two months after renewing his contract, Mbappé asked to leave the Parc des Princes and soon several offers began to arrive to take him away from Paris Saint-Germain. According to L'Equipe, despite the snub he received in May, Real Madrid itself made a proposal to the Parisian team for the signing of Kylian that was completely ignored by the French club. But it was not the only one.

Apparently, Liverpool also offered the striker an escape route that, surprisingly, was accepted by the player himself. Not so by the French club. The Reds put a total of 200 million euros on the table, but Antero Henrique, PSG's sporting director, rejected it and asked for even double that.
